The story
Two cups, one GT3 season
The series began in 2011 as the Blancpain Endurance Series, with the 24 Hours of Spa as its main event. A sprint series joined in 2014. Today both run under one name. All cars are GT3 sports cars, kept close by Balance of Performance.
The Sprint Cup has two one-hour races each weekend, with a driver change in each. The Endurance Cup has one long race per weekend, from three hours up to the 24 Hours of Spa. Each cup has its own titles. Points from both count towards the full-season titles.
The classes
Classes on the same track
ProBoth cups
The top class and the fight for the overall win. Driver ratings are not restricted, so the strongest line-ups race here. Many crews are linked to manufacturers.
Gold CupBoth cups
Built around Gold-rated drivers: experienced racers just below the top professionals.
Silver CupBoth cups
Built around Silver-rated drivers: younger, developing professionals and fast amateurs.
Bronze CupBoth cups
Built around a Bronze-rated amateur who shares the car with higher-rated drivers. It carries the series pro-am idea.
Pro-Am CupSpa only
Runs only at the 24 Hours of Spa. Crews mix top-rated professionals with Bronze-rated amateurs.

Good to know
- Cars kept in balance
Organiser SRO uses Balance of Performance on every GT3 model, so cars from different makes can race close together.
- Ratings decide the class
The FIA rates every driver Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze. A car's class depends on the drivers in it, not on the car.
- Pro-Am only at Spa
The Pro-Am Cup runs only at the 24 Hours of Spa. The other four classes race all season.
