The story

Twice around the clock

Since 1923, cars race for 24 hours straight on a track that is mostly public roads, closed to traffic for the race. Several drivers share one car and take turns at the wheel.

Hypercars, LMP2 prototypes and GT3 cars are on track at the same time, each class fighting its own race. Le Mans is one of the three events of motorsport's unofficial Triple Crown, next to the Monaco Grand Prix and the Indianapolis 500.
