The story

A full day at Daytona

The 24 Hours of Daytona is a sports car race that runs for a full day and night. It is held in January at Daytona International Speedway in Florida, as a round of the IMSA championship. Several drivers share each car.

The first race in 1962 lasted three hours. It became a 2,000-kilometre race in 1964 and a full 24 hours in 1966. The lap joins the banked oval to an infield road course.
